Meet the Agents

Steve Morrison

Steve Morrison brings 20 years of experience as a residential real estate professional. His experience in residential property, and land development, and buyer and seller representation is extensive.

Additionally, Steve has a wide-range of knowledge about new construction and is responsible for several housing projects in Southern Maine. His working knowledge of subdivision laws and procedures is invaluable in what can be a tedious process.

He is actively involved in community work within his hometown of North Yarmouth and has coached his son and daughter's T-ball teams. Developing long-term relationships, personal and business are very important to Steve. This belief has helped build a business based on referrals from satisfied customers.

Diane Morrison

Diane Morrison is a native of Maine. Upon graduating from the University of Maine in Orono with a degree in education, Diane taught junior high English and reading for seven years. Seeking a change in her career she pursued a Master's degree in Management from Northeastern University in Boston and subsequently went into college administration at Lesley College in Cambridge and Babson College.

Returning to Maine, Diane joined her husband, Steve Morrison, in the real estate business. Diane's combined real estate and educational experiences are unique to the real estate industry by providing customers with a broker trained in listening, negotiating, problem solving and "making things happen."

Diane, like her husband Steve, is committed to the town of North Yarmouth. As co-chair of the Middle School Building Project, she is excited about the opportunity to work with the volunteers from the towns of North Yarmouth and Cumberland in creating the badly-needed building. Diane's commitment to education is also a driving force in her participation in this project.

Jim Chapman

Jim Chapman is a graduate of the University of Maine. Jim began working with Morrison Real Estate in January 2000 after spending six years as a real estate broker in the commercial real estate industry. Prior to that he spent 21 years with a family owned wholesale building products distribution company. He was an outside salesperson for twelve years before becoming Vice President of Sales and Marketing in that firm. Jim focuses on residential investment properties, multiunit apartment buildings as well as single family residential homes.

Nancy King

Nancy King joined Morrison Real Estate in 2003 as a Sales Agent. Nancy recently received her Accredited Buyer's Representation (ABR) certification. This additional education and training enables her to help service the special needs of home buyers.

Nancy has a wealth of experience with housing construction and planning, having worked in Boston's Office of Capital Planning managing a $350 million capital construction budget and later, writing housing grants for the Boston Housing Authority. Nancy also is an experienced negotiator having worked for 4 years in the New York State Legislature lobbying for a range of health, education and consumer issues.

Before joining Morrison Real Estate, Nancy worked as an internet consultant at MaineStreet Communications. She has helped organizations, nonprofits and businesses throughout Maine develop web sites promoting their services and products. Nancy is responsible for the development of MorrisonRealtors.com, promoting the real estate listings to a broader audience of prospective buyers and expanding its content to help buyers and sellers alike make informed decisions.

Nancy is a member of the Portland Board of Realtors, the Maine Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors and the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council.

Nancy King is a Boston native and graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She holds a Massachusetts Teacher's Certificate. Nancy enjoys living in Portland with her two young sons.
